New Technology Building

State University College at Buffalo
Buffalo, New York

This new 100,000 square foot facility grew out of the College's planned merger of their Technology and Computer Departments. It is predicated on the assumption of sharing new state-of-the-art teaching and laboratory technologies in a campus setting that will not only allow campus wide sharing of new "smart classrooms", but also encourage business community interaction with sponsored/applied research programs. The building is designed to showcase the application of sustainable design concepts and to serve as a teaching/demonstration tool itself. For example, plans include a working display of fuel cell technology.
