Drake Memorial Library Program Study

The Program Study for Drake Memorial Library seeks to re-program and re-imagine the college library in response to the change and evolution in methods of scholarship and pedagogy since the building’s completion in 1973. Concurrently, it addresses badly needed critical maintenance for the 40 year old building. The proposed plan addresses the new vision for Drake Memorial Library as a place for student skills development and collaborative learning at the crossroads of the campus. It considers the physical realities of incorporating new building systems and technologies as well as complementing the new Liberal Arts Building and the development of the exterior plaza to the east of the building.
