Initially brought on to develop the program study for MUSC, Compass 5 Partners and Stieglitz Snyder Architecture have subsequently provided the design to renovate Colbert Library (75,800 sf) and create a Pharmacy School addition (26,500 sf) to the Basic Science Building (BSB).
Expanding the BSB, is a cost effective solution to bring the College of Pharmacy to the main campus. The program and design seek to optimize instructional space for 21st century educational pedagogy. Interior modifications to Colbert Library include spaces that encourage inter-professional collaboration as well as traditional spaces for focused concentration in alignment with the MUSC 2020 Strategic Plan. Total construction costs are estimated to be $50 Million.
